My daughter was getting married in November, and I desperately wanted to lose 10 to 15 pounds before the wedding. I had tried numerous diets and eating plans, ran a lot, went to the gym—nothing seemed to work. I have always struggled to lose weight.
A friend of mine told me about Happily Ever Eating, so I decided to give it a shot. Sherri coached me every step of the way. At first, I found it hard to fast until noon, but within a couple of weeks, it became second nature.
I don’t eat red meat, but Sherri provided me with recipes for chicken and turkey, and I found myself enjoying eggs a lot more than I used to—especially egg salad.
My husband started to notice a difference in my weight, so he also decided to follow the plan. Over the next eight weeks, I lost a total of 14 pounds, and he lost 12 pounds (even though he didn’t have much to lose).

At first, I was skeptical about trying this life-changing weight loss program—mainly because I didn’t think I could do it. When menopause arrived, I couldn’t find my weight-loss groove. Nothing worked!

I started my health journey with my coach, Sherri Lane, in March 2024. My cholesterol was steadily climbing to very high levels, and I had low energy. My cardiologist began monitoring my cholesterol and suggested I get it re-checked at the six-month mark. If my numbers continued on that trajectory, I would need to start cholesterol medication. I knew I needed to make a change.
I have always been active and never had to diet, so I decided to follow Sherri’s advice. I am limited in my diet due to many food allergies and being a pescatarian, but Sherri helped me navigate those challenges. Over a six-month period, I made small, sustainable changes.
I realized I was addicted to sugar and carbs. Sherri helped me break the unhealthy patterns that were putting my health at risk. My sugar and processed snack cravings are now completely gone. In six months, I’ve lost 17 lbs, and it has been easy—I never feel deprived! Yesterday, during my well check-up, my internist told me to “keep doing what I’ve been doing.” There’s no longer any discussion about medication, as my overall cholesterol has dropped 60 points!
